These two met while in college. A casual set up from roommates led to these two lovebirds taking their friendship to something little more than just casual. Since then these two have been inseparable and their beautiful engagement tells their love story. We met at the Dallas Arboretum Botanical Gardens for their lovely engagement session. It was a cold chilly 30-degree morning but you got no complaints from anyone especially since Nicole was wearing a dress and if she could tough it out than everyone else sure as hell was going to toughen it out as well. As we were walking around the gorgeous scenery, I simply asked them if there was a particular area at the Arboretum that they wanted to make sure was included in their engagements and Nicole simply replied, “Do your thing we trust you and know you’re going to knock it out the park.” So with that vote of confidence I took their trust and told their love story. In reality they did all the work because I just directed them to be themselves and their love with be on display. Congratulations to Nicole and Andrew, I know your wedding this May will be amazing!!  Be sure to check out their video on my YouTube page as well!!

Best of 2015!! http://bluescopephotography.com/blog/2016/1/best-of-2015 2015 has been such an incredible year for Blue Scope Photography.  I accomplished so many goals that I set out for myself both personally and professionally.  The growth of the company was enormous and to be honest I am on the road to continuing the success that was accomplished in 2015 into 2016.  My amazing clients kept me busy and humble.  I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to capture moments and use imagery to tell a story.  I have had the opportunity to watch couple get engaged and then get married.  I was apart of a centennial birthday celebration.  I got to photograph the Texas Rangers Ballpark and most of all I discovered new places to create amazing images.  It’s not the accomplishments that I am most proud of however; it’s the journey that I am on that puts a humbling smile on my face.  2015 is a wrap and 2016 is going to be phenomenal.  I wanted to take the time to share a few of my favorite images that made me enjo2015, this is by no way all of the images that made me enjoy 2015, if I did that we would be hear all day.  Here's to a wonderful 2015 and 2016 will be even better.

The importance of capturing a Great Image! http://bluescopephotography.com/blog/2014/12/dallas-fortworth-weddingphotographer Recently this Fort Worth wedding and portrait photographer has had many things have happen in his life that have changed him as an artist and businessman.  I have a new found belief that when I capture images I need to do so in a way that reflects there is no tomorrow, that is the emphasis that built Blue Scope Photography.  The main two reasons this has happened is the first was in late October with the passing of my granddad.  I have the fortunate pleasure to speak with him the weekend before his passing and it was a conversation that I will never forgot.  He told me that he was so proud of me, he was the proud of the man I became, and that my wife Latarsha was the best thing to happen to this family because it was her that brought you home from the war.  He said that he couldn't be anymore prouder of me for choosing to start my family and adopting my beautiful daughters, he expressed to me that he couldn't wait until he could officially meet them in person, that is one of those rare regrets I will have in my life.  However I continued capturing images as much as I can with the attitude I took away from the phone call with my grandpa and that is treat every image as if it were the last time you would ever take that image.  So even in his death my grandpa is still teaching me lessons to make me a better photographer.  I gave him two picture to take with him it was a picture of the two Great Grand Daughters he would never get a chance to meet in person.

The second reason on why capturing images have become so important to me was on Dec. 23, 2014 my dear Uncle Lacy was called home.  To be honest losing my granddad was tough and I was not ready for the loss of my Uncle Lacy.  Life definitely threw some curve balls at me.  I do find solace in the fact that one of the last images taken of my Uncle Lacy was taken by me and I truly think is shows the happiness that is his life and the man who he was.  So in one of his final memories we have of him it will be through images with his wife and his kids.  My goal as a photographer and the reason I created Blue Scope Photography has always been to create images that will last a lifetime and it is with a heavy heart that I share these images with you.  I hope you now understand  my reasons to take a great image!
